Features:
- The Thunderbolt 4 USB-C Cable supports data transfer speeds of up to 40Gbps, delivers up to 100W Power Delivery charging, and is compatible with Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, USB4, USB 3.2, USB 3.1, USB 3.0, and USB 2.0 devices.
- The cable supports a single 8K@60Hz display or dual 4K@60Hz displays, as well as DisplayPort 1.4, enabling high-quality audio and video transmission with multi-display connectivity.
- The cable features an 8-coaxial Thunderbolt 4 structure, while the connectors have an Intel-certified EJ903 chip for enhanced compatibility, stability, and overall performance.
- Compared to Thunderbolt 3 cables, the ByteCable Thunderbolt 4 cable features stricter certification standards, broader device compatibility, and a more stable and reliable connection experience.
- This Thunderbolt 4 cable is widely compatible with MacBooks, PCs, docking stations, monitors, external SSDs, projectors, and various USB-C devices. It also supports daisy chaining, allowing multiple Thunderbolt devices to be connected simultaneously.
Thunderbolt 4 Cable FAQs:
Thunderbolt 4 is an upgraded of Thunderbolt 3, compatible with Thunderbolt 3. It also supports 40Gbp/s transmission speed, but Thunderbolt 4 defines strict product features and certification requirements.
Note: Thunderbolt 4 is different from USB C. Thunderbolt 4 is a connection standard, and USB C is an interface.
Both Thunderbolt 4 and Thunderbolt 3 offer a maximum bandwidth of 40Gbps, but Thunderbolt 4 enforces higher minimum performance and functionality requirements.
- Display Support: Thunderbolt 4 must support dual 4K displays or one 8K display as a minimum requirement, whereas Thunderbolt 3 only guarantees support for a single 4K display, with dual 4K being optional.
- PCIe Data Bandwidth: Thunderbolt 4 requires a minimum PCIe data rate of 32Gbps, while Thunderbolt 3 only requires 16Gbps, resulting in better guaranteed performance for high-speed devices such as external GPUs and NVMe SSDs.
- Docking and Hub Support: Thunderbolt 4 supports docks or hubs with up to four Thunderbolt ports and certified passive cables up to 2 meters at full 40Gbps speed, which were not mandatory requirements under Thunderbolt 3 certification.
- Power Delivery Requirements: Thunderbolt 4 requires at least one port on a laptop to support charging up to 100W Power Delivery, whereas charging support was optional under Thunderbolt 3.
Thunderbolt 4 can connect to Apple Macs with a Thunderbolt 4 interface, docks or hubs, external monitors, external storage devices such as hard drives, USB peripherals including mice, keyboards, and headsets, PCI Express (PCIe) devices, networking equipment, charging adapters, and many other compatible accessories.
